NOTE
The "GTA 1300 Junior" was created to win the 1.300cc Group 2 Touring Championship starting in 1968.
The 1290cc twin-spark DOHC inline 4 is a GTA1600 engine (78mm bore x 82mm stroke) with a short 67.5mm stroke with 96hp / 6000rpm with twin WEBER45DCOE carburettors.

The bodywork is lightened by over 200kg, indicating with the letter "A" in GTA, the conversion from steel to aluminum.
Grills, shield, air intakes, U-shaped door handles, magnesium wheels, side stripes and four-leaf clover logo are exclusive to the "GTA".

The model presented today, chassis number “AR776142”, is a “Stradale” produced on 23 November 1973, painted in “Biancospino (Alfa Romeo Historic Motoring Certificate).

On November 29, 1973 it was invoiced and delivered to the AutoBecker dealership in Germany.
It remained unsold for several years at AutoBecker until 1979 when it was bought by another German dealer.
Never registered and still new, in its original stradale configuration in 1983 it was exported to Japan by the owner of the Tokyo Classic Car Shop.
Two years later, in September 1985, it was registered for the first time with the Japanese registration “68.33”.
The Japanese owner bought the car in stradale configuration but over the years he collected many original Autodelta parts with which he gave the car a racing trim.
The following original Autodelta accessories were applied:
• Lightweight door with Plexiglas glass
• Oversized 80 ltr fuel tank with racing cap.
• Oversized finned magnesium oil sump
• rear anti roll suspension system(slittone)
• Racing pilot seat
• Roll bar
• Oil cooler
• Racing air intake duct
• magnesium wheels
• Fiberglass rear bonnet with opening for fuel cap
The car always remained in the same Japanese collection for over thirty years until 2016 when it was sold to Symbolic International, San Diego, Cal. USA.
In 2017 it was sold and registered in England with the SCW963L license plate and shortly after exported to Italy to be restored bringing it back to the original specifications of the "Stradale" model.
This beautiful example has survived to the present day in excellent condition with all original body panels and the original engine.

The conservative restoration only required the total disassembly of the bodywork with the overhaul of all the mechanical parts without having to carry out structural interventions as it has never been hit and never competed in extreme competitions.
In February 2019 it was exhibited at the RM-SOTHEBY'S auction in Retromobile-Paris where it fetched €263,000 including fees.
On 6 December 2017 it was accompanied by an ALFA ROMEO CLASSICHE certificate of origin which certifies its authenticity.

ON 20 November 2019 it obtained the ASI certificate of historical relevance.

On 14 December 2019 it was approved by ASI with the issue of the identity certificate and the GOLD PLATE.

In April 2021 it was registered in Italy.

The odometer reading of 51,767 km is believed to be the original of the car.

One of the most desirable Alfa Romeos ever built, it is ready to participate in many of the best events in Europe.
