This 1725cc Midnight Blue Sunbeam Alpine Series V was registered in September 1966 and is showing 8859 miles on its odometer. Its last MoT expired in September 2019 after being tested the previous year at an indicated 6889 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Alpine no longer requires annual testing. It is reported as running and driving well with no issues and is equipped with an aftermarket overdrive. The car was restored between 2008 and 2019 , which included a full respray, removal of suspension for renovation/replacement, brake items renewed and refurbished and wheels blasted and fresh tyres fitted. The engine was +30 thou-bored with new pistons and rings, camshaft, bearings and followers. There were also new valves, seats recut, valves lapped and new timing chain, tensioner and pads plus new engine mounts. A Weber 28/36 compound carburettor has been installed but the original twin-carbs on their manifold are included with various spares in the boot. The car also features Petronix LU 142A electronic ignition. It comes with with its black factory hard-top and garage dust cover.
Paperwork includes the V5C, a stack of invoices and MoTs dating back to 2003. There's also a spare key as well.
