This rare Rover 820 Vitesse Sport is being sold as a project for recommissioning, as its last MoT (which it passed with no advisories) expired in 2012. The odometer displays 78,788 miles, and the interior is equipped with a sunroof and half-leather Recaro seats.
The engine will turn over but the car is currently a non-runner. The vendor believes that it has an electrical or immobilisation fault, and that the fuel system will require looking at. Paperwork comprises a few old MoT certificates and the current V5C, indicating six former keepers. It was first registered on 1st August 1997, and the last change of registered keeper was in 2020.
In the vendor's words: “Rare surviving example of Rover's flagship sports saloon. According to How Many Left there are only 7 of these 820 Vitesse Sports on the road, and no 1997 cars. This is almost certainly the only white saloon left. Therefore a very worthwhile project."
