This 1968 FIAT Dino Spider 2000 is a remarkable example of the historic collaboration between FIAT and Ferrari, created to homologate the legendary Dino V6 engine for Formula 2 competition.
Originally registered in Ancona in 1968, the car was later re-registered in Modena in 1984 and still retains its original black license plates and original period registration booklet, outstanding historical features that certify its authenticity and continuity.
The car changed ownership once in 1987 and once again in 1988.
Since 2005, it has belonged to a meticulous collector who states that the vehicle has always received careful maintenance, including a complete overhaul of the engine and mechanical components, after which the car has covered only about 4,000 km.
Based on the mileage covered over the last 20 years and the statements of the last owner, the indicated mileage of 69,081 km is believed to be original.
Due to advanced age, the current owner has reluctantly decided to offer the car for sale.
The vehicle is completely original as it left the factory, including interior, seats, dashboard, chrome trim, soft top and all other details.
The paintwork shows a natural patina acquired over time, enhancing its authenticity.
The mandatory biennial technical inspection is valid until January 2028.
Due to physical issues, a power-assisted clutch was installed, making the pedal significantly lighter.
This modification is not visible, fully reversible and does not affect the originality of the car.
Powered by the iconic 1,987 cc Dino V6 engine, derived from Ferrari engineering, the Dino Spider 2000 offers exceptional balance, a distinctive sound and refined driving dynamics.
With Pininfarina design, limited production numbers and outstanding originality, this example represents a rare and highly desirable collectible
