On December 21, 1937, this stately Jaguar SS 2.5 Liter Saloon left the factory to be shipped to Belgium. Here the car was registered on July 14, 1938. Many documents and the Heritage Centificate indicate that the original color was Suede Green. A somewhat dull color that fortunately was changed during the restoration to the also original Ivory. In combination with the beautiful green leather and tasteful wood finished interior, this is a real stunning combination.
The beautiful saloon remained in Belgium until the purchase of the current owner in 2015. Once in the Netherlands, a very extensive restoration was started. A thick map with photos and invoices shows that the specialists of Conventry from Uden the Netherlands, have invested many hours to rebuild the SS Jaguar like new again. And maybe even better than it’s ever has been. The result is clearly visable on the website photos but it the flesh it is even better. You just have to see and experience that for yourself when you stand next to the car, take a seat in the finest leather and making a lovely test drive. The car is now part of one of the largest SS and Jaguar collections in our country, but can now be sold due to downsizing.
Driving is actually very easy and also feels a bit ‘pre-war luxury’. Very enjoyable if you ask us. We know how much pleasure a classic car like this one can give. And not just for the driver, of course, because as a passenger you actually have it even better in terms of luxury and space to stretch your legs. A great car to travel in style to England, for example, to visit the famous Goodwood Revival. An unforgettable experience that can become reality if you make an appointment with us.
